Taking on the Channel in 2018
Malcolm Kemp is ISPT’s Commercial Property Investment Manager based in Brisbane. He’s Brisbane born and bred and started his working life as an apprentice motor mechanic before studying valuations and ultimately moving into property investment management.
Leading the redevelopment of Central Plaza, Malcolm has delivered a large scale retrofit lighting project in the lobby and will soon be converting the Annexe to a market leading food and beverage offer. The launch of the leasing suite on L18 was the talk of the town in Brisbane, with its digital fly through technology.
In his spare time, Malcolm is a competitive swimmer and is pushing himself beyond the Queensland series ocean swims to swim the English Channel in 2018. He’s part of a sports minded family who trains together, with the three of them competing in the Noosa triathlon each year.
Malcolm’s view is that the Brisbane property market is bouncing along the bottom, with everyone challenged by the record high vacancies. Brisbane is heavily influenced by mining and a stabilisation in the commodity prices will bring a much needed uplift.
His passion for the property industry is based on every day being different and when he’s coming up with solutions it’s with a great management team.
