ISPT’s responsible investment approach yields strong GRESB results

The Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) assesses the environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance of real assets. GRESB covers more than 1,000 property companies, real estate investment trusts (REIT’s), funds and developers globally.

Industry leadership scores

ISPT’s 2019 GRESB results show improvement across the board, with the 50 Lonsdale Street Property Trust scoring in the top 5% globally, and the ISPT Core Fund scoring in the top 10% globally. Both have achieved 5 Green Star ratings – the highest GRESB rating and a recognition accorded for industry leadership.

The ISPT Retail Australia Property Trust (IRAPT) has ranked in the second quartile globally and improved its Green Star rating by 1 star to achieve 4 stars.

Alicia Maynard, ISPT’s General Manager of Sustainability & Technical Services says

“The annual GRESB assessment allows ISPT to globally benchmark our performance as part of our broader ESG approach. We’ve been participating in GRESB for the last eight years, and we’re pleased to achieve our highest scores yet with this year’s rankings.

Our result are testament to ISPT’s ongoing commitment to responsible investment, across the portfolio and by our teams and partners. We look forward to improving on these results as we deliver long term value to our investors, customers and community. “
