447 Collins receives Victorian Commercial Architecture Award
447 Collins in Melbourne’s CBD has received the Commercial Architecture Award at the Victorian Architecture Awards 2021, as well as a commendation in the Urban Design category.
The commercial tower at Collins Arch, referred to as 447 Collins, is a joint venture between ISPT and Cbus Property. The mixed-use precinct includes two 164-metre towers joined by a sky bridge, with 184 high-end residences, approximately 49,000 sqm of PCA Premium grade office space and the W Melbourne luxury hotel.
Jury Chair Rosemary Byrne said: “It (Collins Arch) is large, hugely ambitious and it is very unique. It’s not a series of slender towers or a slick tower. It’s two towers joined at the top and the towers are carefully shaped, which is all about sunlight penetration and avoiding overshadowing.”
Leah Lucas, ISPT’s National Portfolio Manager, Commercial Services said: “447 Collins is an iconic building with exceptional amenity that has enticed King Wood Mallesons, Minter Ellison, Gadens, HWL Ebsworth and Future Fund amongst others to make this stunning precinct their home.”
